Finally an Update & Where to Stay in Norman

Standard

Hello all! So, I have realized I am not a very good blogger.. maybe in time that will correct itself but until then I will just have to fill you in by giving the highlights.

Since I last wrote we have been SO busy with school, church work and wedding stuff. We’ll start with school: Elliot is finishing up most of his required religion courses and I have started my upper-level sociology ones. This semester has been good school-wise and I think we are becoming more and more affirmed that God has us in the right places.

It has been great getting back to our church in Waco and we have been involved in the college music ministry as well as leading a home group together at our house on Thursdays. We have also been blessed to be a part of First Baptist Norman and just last weekend, we travelled to Falls Creek and hung out with the youth for a few days. Such a blessing!

Elliot is working as a waiter at an Italian food restaurant called Gratziano’s, and I am hostessing at the restaurant next door, Diamondbacks. Come see us at dinnertime!

And of course, wedding planning! Ah, what a wonderful mother I have! Everyone asks me if the planning process has been stressful and all I can say is, “Nope, my mom is awesome and thinks of everything!” Truly, planning has been fun and low-key and while Elliot and I may have fallen a bit behind on our “wedding checklist,” I think we’ll be okay :). I can’t wait to be marrying the most caring and thoughtful guy in one month! The time has gone so quickly this semester but I am grateful that the day is almost here! I think one of the things that I am looking forward to the most is celebrating the Gospel and the fact that my white dress represents the cleansing flood that Jesus freely gave to free us from our sin. I am looking forward to the day as a celebration of the unconditional and gracious love of God and as a day to remember that we are the Father’s. He has put Elliot and I together and I will of course, be celebrating that as well 🙂 God is so good and our wedding is a day that will serve as a reminder of that. I am so looking forward to being Mrs. Lee in 30 days!

So, life is exciting and such a gift! We are joyfully awaiting the wedding as well as the return of our family from Korea and the plans that God is calling us to. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and HOPEFULLY, I will write again before we get hitched 🙂

Also, for out-of-town wedding guests:
Since we don’t have a wedding website I thought it would be good to put up some information about the exciting town of Norman, Oklahoma and offer some places to stay.

For a Bed & Breakfast try the Montford Inn. It is located in downtown Norman and is VERY close to the wedding and reception locations.

Embassy Suites is the newest and largest hotel in Norman. Located right off of I-35 it is very close to such places as Super Target, Sonic, Wingstop, Marshalls, and many other restaurants/stores.

The Courtyard Marriott is also located near some of the best restaurants and shops in Norman! Very close to the mall as well.
